Some PF members in Chirundu want their DC out



Patriotic Front (PF) members in Chirundu district have appealed to President Michael Sata to remove district Commissioner Maxwell Shamalimba who they have accused of engaging in activities which are making the ruling party unpopular in the area.

The PF members who sought anonymity for fear of singled out say efforts by the Lusaka province leadership led by Geoffrey Chumbwe to resolve the problems surrounding the district commissioner have proved futile.

They have also accused the provincial leadership of intimidating party members in the district who opposed to the district commissioner.

They have warned that some of the activities the Chirundu district commissioner is involved will work to the disadvantage of the ruling party in 2016.

The PF members have accused the district commissioner of being involved in the illegal allocation of land in Chirundu among other numerous accusations.
